Switching Connections#

A \({{params.a }} \rm\ \mu\textrm{F}\) capacitor and a \({{params.b }} \rm\ \mu\textrm{F}\) capacitor are connected in series across a \({{params.v }} \textrm{ kV}\) potential. The charged capacitors are then disconnected from the source and connected to each other with terminals of like sign together.

Part 1#

What is the voltage across the \({{params.a }} \rm\ \mu\textrm{F}\) capacitor?

Answer Section#

Please enter a numeric value.

Part 2#

What is the voltage across the \({{params.b }} \rm\ \mu\textrm{F}\) capacitor?
