The machine illustrated below lifts a mass \(m\) by turning a pedal. The pedal rotates a gear system, which pulls a rope along a pulley system that lifts the mass. Select all modifications to the system that increases the amount of force required to lift the object.

A mass is suspended on a double pulley system. The rope is pulled by a large gear with r3, which is spun by a smaller gear with r2. The smaller gear is spun with a pedal of r1. The rope makes contact with the larger gear at r4.
